We expose injustice. We’re independent and non-profit.

The work of CORRECT!V is made possible by three types of patrons: by citizens making a one time donation; by people who want to continuously support us by becoming a member of the CORRECT!V community; and by large sponsors such as foundations.

Since our start in July 2014, hundreds of citizens have already supported us by making donations or becoming members of our community. You can also support our work here.

Additionally, we receive funding from four large foundations as well as the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung).

The Brost-Stiftung from Essen is our initial funder. It is supporting us with three million Euros spread out over the first three years of our operation. It made our work possible. The Brost Foundation was founded by Anneliese Brost. Anneliese Brost is one of the most important publishers in German history. Her husband Erich Brost founded the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung after the Second World War. Anneliese Brost – at this point still Brinkmann – was the first employee of the WAZ. 1975 the two got married. Twenty years later, after the death of her husband, Anneliese took over the management of the publishing house. Her Brost Foundation has a charitable mission beyond any party policy.

The Rudolf Augstein Stiftung supports our "Community Engagement Project". In this project we want to establish and broaden a knowledge base of community engagement. Therefore a transfer of knowledge from other countries such as USA and France to Germany and experiments will be essential. We want to systematize the knowledge, especially about how large crowd researches can be carried out with communities.

The Federal Agency for Civic Education is supporting our workshops “Freedom of information for everyone” (Auskunftsrechte für Alle) over the course of the next two years with a total of 83.000 Euros. The agency is a federal public authority providing citizenship education and information on political issues for all people in Germany. It promotes awareness for democracy and participation in politics. Being an institution entrusted with providing the kind of civic education specified in the German constitution, it also supports events organized by more than 400 approved educational establishments, foundations and non-governmental organizations involved in civic education in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Schöpflin Stiftung supports our investigations on economic topics with 100.000 Euros. It was founded in 2001 by Hans Schöpflin and his siblings Albert Schöpflin and Hedi Junghanss in Lörrach, Baden-Württemberg. It is an independent non-profit foundation which focuses on topics such as education, health, environment and civil society by developing new projects or supporting existing initiatives.

The Dutch Adessium Foundation, which was founded in 2005 by the Vliet family, also supports our work.
