Zero Euro Doctor

Doctors who do not accept money from pharmaceutical companies are invisible in the official FSA transparency reports. To change this, CORRECTIV publishes names from doctors who refuse payments from the industry.

To the Zero Euro Doctors Project

Gernot Rüter has not received benefits from pharma companies under the EFPIA transparency codex in 2016 and 2015.

Additionally, Gernot Rüter has not received fees for observational studies/NIS in 2016 and 2015.

The disclosure according to the transparency code does not apply to payments by pharma companies for clinical trials and observational studies. The pharma companies withhold the details of these payments to doctors and only publish aggregate sums.

Background

Independent journalism needs independent funding

Others can write stories. We want to reveal. We are the first investigative newsroom in Germany, which is independent, ad-free, and non-profit.

For us, the core of journalism means uncovering injustice and shortcomings in society. That’s why we investigate corruption in the health system, politicians abusing their power, and an elite that believes that rules are for the others.

To do our job, we need people, who support us. We ask you, too, to become a member and enable the work of 16 investigative journalists at CORRECTIV.

We are convinced that without independent and critical media, democracy fought for and won by our ancestors, cannot survive for long.
