Simon has always loved journalism – but when he founded a school newspaper, he realized that he was better suited for managing it than for writing. So after studying economics in Kassel, London and Cape Town, as well as working in Seoul and Sydney, he moved to Hamburg to do a trainee program with the biggest magazine publisher in Europe, Gruner+Jahr, part of Bertelsmann. He would then spend the next 16 years working for G+J, including his time as part of the publishing management of stern, where he was in charge of multiple media brands. By the end of 2013, Simon moved to Berlin for G+J to work as publisher and managing director of Germany’s biggest business magazine Capital, business and lifestyle brand Business Punk, and the well-known soccer brand 11Freunde. In summer 2018, Simon joined CORRECTIV as CEO.
